I LOVED this book! This was one of those books that sticks with you for months after finishing it. I couldn’t get it out of my head. I had to really think about the traveling parts which confused me at first, but the love story was so palpable, you just fall in love with their story. Chef’s kiss! 🤌
I ended up really liking this, when at first I wasnât quite sure where it was going or if I was into the characters. But once it got going I really wanted to figure out the whole riddle of this story. The time travel-y stuff was sort of confusing and Iâm still not sure I get it 100% but it was a unique concept. I tend to read a lot of time-bending type of books and this was different. I wish it had leaned in a bit more to the historical aspects of the time periods - this one was more about relationships. I didnât love the whole backstory about the main âvillainâ, I think it could have been less stereotypical. Characters made a few decisions that I thought were a bit suspect or too convenient. Overall, I enjoyed how the story wrapped up and how the characters developed within a unique time travel/parallel lives concept.
An enchanting book about time travel and the consequences that could come. Every time I put the book down I couldn’t stop thinking about June. This was so beautifully written and sure to be one of my tops books of the year. Book #25 in 2025
